VALUECOMBO β€’ MARKETPLACE CONTROL

πŸ”— Seller Product Ownership Audit

Current Shopify catalog was checked against the VALUECOMBO Seller Product Registry.

Current result

Shopify catalog: Products are present and currently use vendor information such as Dropdash.

VALUECOMBO seller registry: Only the template seller record currently exists.

Product registry: Only the template product record currently exists.

Therefore: Existing Shopify products have not been automatically assigned to a VALUECOMBO seller.

πŸ›‘οΈ Safe mapping rule

  1. Approve the seller and issue a unique Seller Code.
  2. Map the seller's Shopify Customer ID.
  3. Confirm the product belongs to that seller.
  4. Store Shopify Product ID + Variant ID + Inventory Item ID.
  5. Only then mark the listing as live for marketplace seller routing.

⚠️ Current catalog

Products supplied through Dropdash should not be assigned to a seller code merely because the Shopify vendor field says β€œDropdash”. Supplier/vendor and marketplace seller are different concepts.

Next live mapping

When the first real seller is approved, their Seller Code can be mapped to confirmed products without changing unrelated products.
